Some YouTubers have done this for so long and have gotten so big that they've actually quit YouTube all together so that they can enjoy a "retirement" of sorts. Esentally, their YouTube channel was just one part of their career as a whole. However, MOST YouTube creators never make it to the point where YouTube provides a second income, much less an entire career.

So today, we'll be exploring what you can do to keep yourself from quitting YouTube before you really hit your stride. The hope is that you can avoid feeling like a "small channel" during your entire time on the platform.

I started posting to YouTube 8 years ago. Some of my best advice is pretty cliche but it's still super true. Never give up. Work to improve. ALWAYS look at the analytics for your videos. If you don't understand analytics & what makes a video go viral, STOP RIGHT NOW and go do research. You can't improve if you don't know what you're doing wrong! I had no idea what I was doing wrong in the beginning, so I literally posted 250+ videos on an older channel and none of them did well.

For me this has been the best year for my YT channel longer than my channel has ever existed. I passed 100 subs and I have got two videos above 1000k views. And not a single video has gotten lower than 100 views. Which has been a big win for me. Considering I got almost nothing before that. Don't give up hope!

After about 1 and a half years of youtube, I gave up after I was making bland content I was not enjoying, and the videos I liked making got nowhere. I then took a few months off and returned with a new style and new niche, and went from 900 subs to 2.k within about 4 months. No matter how bad it seems, if you keep trying you'll get somewhere, trust me!
