It takes a great bit of technology to make this X5M handle the way it does. The only downside as you said, it never lets you forget that it is a sport suv. As a previous owner, I don’t know of many other sport SUVs that would give you the same performance experience. It is a joy to drive.

I wasn't always a big SUV fan but always loved the mid 2000s Caddy Escalades and Lincoln Navigator but the new BMW's in the past 6 years had me grow a passion and love for. This BMW X5 M got my attention 100% ❤️

Wow what a beauty. Imagine this thing with GMs magnetic suspension or with Acura's air + active suspension. It might be the perfect SUV!!

This looks pretty awesome, as most X5M's tend to, interestingly. I also don't really love SUV's but if I were to get one, I would probably be looking at this. It's insane how fast and unreasonably sporty these things have become lol.

I also ADORE those door panels and really the hex stitching throughout. It's my favorite part of the Audi Sport seats but it just loooks that much more awesome on the doors as well. BMW continues to kill it with their interiors.

I said this when the XM came out, and I'll say it again - when the X5M exists, there is no reason to buy an XM.

I'm so curious what the market is for these types of performance SUVs. If you're a car person, you would much rather spend the $140k on an actual performance car and not a ... performance SUV. My assumption is that these are marketed towards a very niche 1% market where folks who burp money buy these as grocery getters for their wives/partners.

Cars like these don’t do it for me. Regular cars nowadays looks exactly like this inside and have same features for less $
