SO WILD! 2024 BMW X5M Competition Review

The X5M is putting down 617 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque from a 4.4L Twin Turbo V8 Mild Hybrid. At $158,150 CAD, would you take it over a Maserati??

The X designers at BMW are single-handedly holding down the design language for the entire company 👏👏👏 bless them

It looks increasingly like Yuri fears for his life when Jacob is driving 😂

2:28 I agree with Jake for the X5M because it’s 40% more practical and with that classic split tail gate.

I can’t believe I’m saying this about an suv but at this point the X5 looks so clean, so polished😊

I recently got to drive the 2024 X5 50e, and even that thing is wicked quick! The hybrid drivetrain helps it just jump off the line really well. And even from 100-200 it doesn't seem to really fall off at all. This facelift was a big upgrade over the 2022 X5 45e!

Previous gen looks perfect. This gen is ok but still my favorite suv

Great review as always guys. Good balance between the likes and dislikes. Privileged to meet the two of you at YYZ the other day.

Keep up the good work!

I’d take this over a Cayenne GTS or Turbo. Atleast $40, 000 cheaper when comparably equipped, pretty much the same power, looks better from the exterior IMO, and also still has pretty much the same build quality. Dream garage of mine is a 911 Turbo S Cabriolet with an X5 M Competition.. also, this is a MUCH better buy than the XM.

One of the few last good looking modern bmws..
Nice paint job would go well with a saddle brown interior

Great review guys! Just an FYI for the future, if you ever have any iDrive weirdness, the entire system can be rebooted/restarted by holding the volume button for like 30+ seconds until everything goes blank. That usually fixes any issue I have with iDrive. It also works while driving/the car is on (it gives you a minimal gauge cluster so you still get speedo/tach.

Ruined the M5 but at least this looks alright

Love black wheels -- LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them. I used to hate BMW looks and the brand in general -- all the new BMW styling is changing my mind. Especially BMW's with BLACK WHEELS!

About the removal up basic access settings from the IP, insane ! They also removed the awesome programmable buttons which would be huge here.

Haven’t seen Jacob this excited about a new car review in quite some time.

I've barely seen any XMs here in Jersey, but I went to LA last month and they are EVERYWHERE out there. Was super shocked to see so many lol
Also, the X5M is much better value at MSRP. But what about in 6-months when you can get an XM for 115-120K? lol

Finally a decent BMW 😎👍Proportionate grille, V8, no crystal knobs, no massive screens, no pops & bangs..

I saw one parked the other day in a beautiful metallic blue and it was striking for sure. Not as elegant as last gen, but man it looked mean with those comp wheels

Love the X5M, in my experience, you might experience a few technical issues with BMW vehicles but compared to its competitors, you will experience far less if any drivetrain issues in a BMW. I just purchased the main competitor to this model and I only drove it three days and it has been in maintenance for three weeks now. Yes, it is a 2024 that had 10 miles on the clock when I purchased it. SMH!
