It's funny how I was just trying to find a fast iron farm that actually worked for me, and this video popped up. Thank you for the great tutorials!

1. If your golems are spawning outside, then just put trapdoors all around the hole and place a zombie with name tag in the middle. By doing this the golems will fall in the hole when they see the zombie.
2. If your golems are spawning in caves, then you will have to fill up the caves with blocks. Buttons and torches don't work.
3. To increase the production rate, just build a chunk loader in the middle of the farm, so that it will still work when you are not at the farm.
By doing this my farm started producing like a stack in 5-10 minutes

If any of you are having trouble with the golems spawning outside the water, put slabs instead of using paths to mob proof it, and you need to do it more than 3 blocks out, this fixed my problem and the golem farm is working fine.

Is it necessary to place torches on every single block because the light level should be enough to prevent spawns from a couple torches at most

for some reason they dont spawn in the water, they simply spawn around the farm instead...
