San Francisco restaurant now apologizes for asking armed police officers to leave

A San Francisco restaurant that ignited a frenzy when the owner and staff asked three armed police officers in uniform to leave because their weaponized dress made them feel uncomfortable has now apologized for the request, acknowledging that it handled the situation "badly."

If these soft people don't want armed police around them, and feel less comfortable when police enter their neighborhood, then the police should simply stay out of the neighborhood at all times. Including when there is a 911 call.

Keep your apologies! These police officers came to in to support this small business in more ways than they think, and this is how there're treated. If I was a criminal, I would think twice if I knew the police patronized this place. I hope KARMA hits this restaurant HARD! Everyone knows who you do not support, and why your apologizing. Wow, the presence of police makes them to feel uncomfortable and unsafe! Now I understand what kind of people want to defund police, and why there are so many crazy things going on in San Francisco.

As someone who lives in NYC and we are very progressive here and we have the most anti-police politicians, I would like to say the following. May the police officers and police union can get together with the fire department and if they ever get a 911 call from this restaurant may they send a couple of social workers and better yet send some crackheads. I don’t believe they will be carrying any firearms.

When they get robbed during the daytime(which they will) these hipster customers will light sage & hold a meditation vigil for the innocent vegan croissants & overpriced ethically sourced coffee beans lost. I worked a cash register, alone, in a late night convenience store. I was GLAD to see police come into the store.

TOO LATE! My brother-in-law is a law enforcement officer. I am prior service military. My brother has been in the military for 33 years and still serving to protect our country. You offend one, you offend all of us! We all have been professionally trained to use our service weapon to defend. This is despicable.
