I would never eat at a restaurant that viewed their local law enforcement as a threat while their city’s credibility is destroyed by criminals. Too late for apologies.

Sorry. No fake apologies accepted. You showed your true colors. I sense a "For Lease" sign coming soon to this place.

I am pretty Liberal and live in the Bay Area. This type of far Left mentality makes me sick. I love seeing the police when I go into a restaurant, coffee shop or in town - it gives me a feeling of protection and that help is just around the corner. I tried paying for two officer's at Starbuck's recently, they seemed really happy I made showed the appreciation, but they wouldn't let me pay. Yeah, there are some bad apples, but for every bad apple there are a thousand good ones making sure you are safe and your city or town does not fall apart.

I bet the workers will feel even more uncomfortable when robbers actually wave and point their guns around at them and customers.

This is what happened when stupidity controls emotions. I hope no one give them any businesses.

In my previous business, we told police officers that they could come to our business for free coffee anytime. In another business, we offer officers to bring in their K9s anytime for free dog washes. Apology not accepted! Another lost customer forever.

Too now everybody know that the police won’t come to this place for sure

I hope anyone with an ounce of integrity boycotts this restaurant in the name of safety and security for our neighborhoods. If we don't have police then all law and order will break down.

Now they’re sorry? Nah, keep that same energy you had about feeling “unsafe” with uniformed officers. Don’t change your stance now.

The only reason that the owners apologized is because there were over
1, 000 one star reviews when I left my comment this morning.
I wonder how safe and uncomfortable the owners and employees will
feel when the outstanding parolees order take out.

They must be worry about losing business to come up with an apology they don’t mean.

I live in San Francisco. The restaurant workers were wrong, in asking the officers to leave. If you are open to the public, everyone should be welcome. Period!

They defended their decision 3 times including granting an interview . That's clearly a fake apology.

I hate to see any small SF business go out of business (except this one).

"We're sorry if you didn't like our woketard attitude."
A typical non-apology apology.

Let's NOT to visit that restaurant: Hilda and Jesse,  701 Union St, San Francisco, CA

They only apologized because they lost the PR battle. Trust and believe that their sentiment has not changed. People like this is why I don't feel sorry for Californians.

Restaurants have been serving police forever historically. "Get woke go broke". I really hope they lose all their business. The actions of this establishment are inexcusable.

What a bone head move, the police station is literally two blocks away.

TOO LATE! My brother-in-law is a law enforcement officer. I am prior service military and my brother has been in the military for 33 years now and still actively serving our country. We all have been professionally trained to use a weapon to defend. You offend one, you offend all of us! Just despicable! The dumb owners probably only apologized because of all the negative Yelp reviews that they've rightfully received. The owners need to throw a FREE catering lunch to all the branches of the police department City wide in order for them to accept this apology! Actually, I would be afraid to even eat their free catered lunch. It could be tainted!
