Use the Behringer P16-M with the Behringer Wing

The Behringer P16-M is a fantastic 16 channel personal mixer from Behringer. We all loved using it with the Behringer X32, and you can use it with the Behringer Wing. The routing for the Behringer Wing and the Behringer P16-M is a little more tricky, but still straightforward.

So an interesting twist I put on this… I have two p16 loops. One on AES50a and AES50b. This allows vocals to get stems instead of every instrument but keep all vocals channels. The other p16 feed is a vocal group and separate instruments.

What are advantages/disadvantages of sending signals to outputs 33-48 directly from sources instead of using User Signals?

Great video answered my question, however on the X32 you could tap after the MUTE but can't seem to do that on Wing any answer please, this is very important in a theatre show when you need to mute actors that are not on stage otherwise they come through the headphones which is very annoying for band members.

Thank you!! I think this may solve a problem that I’ve had for a while…. We’ve had our P16’s routed straight from our AES and not the user signal… this works fine for live performance but it does not allow our band to utilize virtual soundcheck from the W-Live SD cards. Instead, only the audio from our BUSES/subgroups pass to the P16’s during virtual soundcheck playback but the individual channels/sources do not.
It looks like the user signal will allow audio to pass to P16’s during virtual soundcheck?… which would be great for the band to get a chance to really dial in their P16’s.

Are the User Signal names copied over from the assigned channels or were they manually entered? The video appears to show they are linked but the latest version comes over without any channel name or icon information.

Ok I’ve got a question. I’m running my x32 compact and using the ether net with the p16d for my main speakers ( turbo sound ) and the p16 hq. So I have tried the this with my wing using my s16 stage box and yes it works. The question is how can I route my main PA speakers using the p16d box.

I have this set up but my musicians are claiming that when the bass player plays or the kick drum is hit, it compresses all the sound coming out of the P16. Not sure why that would effect what they are hearing in their ears.

I’ve got this working on my Wing Rack (using the new P16HQ), but the levels seem very low. I have to turn everything to near max on the P16, while my channel faders to the main mix are gained perfectly. Is there a way to raise per-channel gain to the P16/Ultranet sends only? I’m using an SD16 for the interface, over AES50A.

Drew, our church just upgraded from an x32 console with the p16 for the wing (full) with p16. I’m looking into if I can send all my channels to the x32 and use the x32 as my in-ear mixing console. Is that possible.

Also, is there a way to lockout the ability to make console changes?
