Everyone wants to be a success story but only few are willing to work hard for it. Those who work hard (smartly) with persistence are the ones who achieve it. My mom says, that everyone got to work hard and that those who work hard in college and in early job days get to slack off much early then those who do opposite who have to work hard all their life.

I never understood this mentality a few years ago. I was in the "4 hour work week" camp. But there came a point where I couldn't take being broke anymore. I couldn't take the constant reminders and humiliation of my circumstances. So now all I do is work. If im not eating, sleeping, showering, I'm working.

Its not that I love my work. Its that I really hate the spot I'm in and the longer I take a break, the longer I'll be stuck here

My goal: 110 hours a week. No vacations..

A lot of hours? Yes. But I'll become a pretty good lawyer and am making an insane amount of money for a government lawyer.

I am a workaholic. I work 12-16 hour shifts 5-6 days a week, at a hospital, on a cardiac floor. I am on my first vacation in five years. I literally do not know what to do with myself. Both physically and mentally, I know I need this off so I can decompress. But I am loosing my mind. I already cleaned the clean kitchen once and deciding whether I should call my boss to shorten my vacation a could of days and get back at it. I know I'm not a machine, I'm a man, but working is all I know. It's how I bought my condo, car, daily life, savings, and disposable income that I, truth be told, rarely ever get to use. WTF is wrong with me?!?!

you’d have to be a sociopath to actually fucking do this, you’re only young once. it’s all about using the time you have wisely and to think outside of the box while still putting in effort towards your goals

Finally I've found a video of someone who doesn't cry about being a workaholic. "Ohhh, you won't be around your family and it's unhealthy." That's loser talk.

u do not want to be a work-a-holic. You want to be a hard worker and enjoy life balanced, believe me. Once in there it's hard to turn. I hate it and struggle to get rid of it. Do not listen to this video it's a bad idea.

This video has truth if you have a right mentality to seek it out, but if I saw it ten years ago I'd be very misleaded.
Since my 20's i have never worked less than 50 hours/week sometimes I do more... and I an not a super rich guy with a high status....
The life is not as simple actually, if you keep doing the same shit over and over again and try pushing through in medium you are trapped in for decades it can end up being more wasteful and crippling than useful...
Having emotional returns from your work is absolutely important, if you feel like you have unused potential in something but your work place has boundaries that prevent you from seeking that it is absolutely worth it to quit, or at the very least have more free time to educate yourself on that...
Trying harder is never the answer.... in a short term yeah, but im a long run requalification is a better strategy... I have a bottom feeder for a long time and I have seen people who dominate this niche for decades, they dominated it driven by their egos but I learned from "losers" that merely daring to quit it and change your life in a radical direction can bring you above them in a matter of let us be realistic one year or something. Now I make more money and do a job that is not always enjoyable but I have came closer to realizing my potential and am earning more than people who used to tyronize me to work harder, merely because I dared to seek a direction that was on par with my inclinations, it is a constant learning curve and that is what matters the most... not money and not being above someone else, but rather solving problems that would transform you into something better... it is absolutely worth it doing a part time job or taking unpaid brake from working your ass off if you can use the free time you get to improve yourself....
Often if you do 40+ h/w jobs you do not like you are so drained of energy you do not want to dedicate your time for personal improvement hence you are trapped in the cycle.... just get some savings work on your problems and requalify,

Imagine if every able-bodied individual labored 12 hours a day, six days a week. What kind of impact would this make on the economy and on income?
