SMRT is currently undertaking our nationwide sleeper replacement programme. Every night after working hours, our engineers work hard to renew the network by changing sleepers and providing maintenance to the rails to ensure a safe and comfortable ride to all. To help speed up the process, we have brought in specialized engineering machinery like Road-Rail Vehicles, and have also brought in extra manpower in order to complete the project ahead of our original 2019 deadline.
