I would love to see the double-decker Airbus A380 and its newer future variants continuing in the aviation world for at least another 30 years. Such a breathtaking piece of engineering, human ingenuity, and bold endeavour to be marvelled at!

this is a cracking first video on this channel love it lads...I've flown the a380 with emirates many times and having flown the 787 and a350 as well it's still my favourite to fly on the space, comfort and how quiet it is, is amazing. Would love to see a Neo version if that were possible in the future.

A380. Easily the best, most comfortable and quietest large aircraft in the skies. Just ask the public which would be their plane of choice longhaul. Even in economy.

The 380neo isn’t going to happen. EK pushed Airbus for the original 380-900 but with new gen engines but because nobody else was interested, Airbus said “Non!”
The 747-8 was flawed from the start, airlines didn’t want 60s design - which is why the vast majority were cargo versions.
Simply put, the 380 won the battle of super jumbos, but I can’t see another one coming in the next 10-15yrs

I think cost wise the 4 engined 380s are costlier to maintain because of the huge infrastructure that is required to keep them running. Passenger numbers are not going to always remain high. With the post Covid boom in travel is more likely due to revenge tourism. What ever may be the case the very fact that when airbus launched the A380 the demand for 4 engined super jumbos were already on the decline and unless there is a radical change in the commercial travel industry which is dependent on maximizing profits and minimizing costs then we won’t see 380s entering the sector in droves.

Cannot compare the 747 with the 380. Different times ETOPS etc. But just because there is a great need for point to point, there is also a need for major hub operations. Just less. And there is a plane that can do it. One shoe does not fit all. The bigger, the less needed

If the Boeing 747 and airbus a380 comes back into production then they should make them more efficient and also modernize the old 747 variants like 747-100, 747-sp, 747-200, 747-300, 747-400, and the 747-8 to 747 max,

The 747 is a dream aircraft, and one that I have flown on many time between Australia and Europe. The seating was much more roomier than today's aircraft.

Great start to the channel's content chaps- really good video. The future for aviation might be more exciting than we think.

One airline ie Emirates is not enough. I think you answered your own question when you said the hub and spoke is dead. Smaller aircraft offer more frequency also. So rather than a daily flight several or more flights per day are possible with smaller aircraft. Meaning higher aircraft utilisation. Tim Clarkes best chance is to re-engine his fleet.

Just finished watching (second time)
I realise it was a team production, but good to see Martin front & centre.
Slightly distracted by the arm movements and lack of dramatic pauses in continuous narrative, but stunning delivery
More please! ❤
