Palpatine said in his holocron Diaries that he was going to do with no Sith Lord has ever done before, teach their Apprentice everything they know. He was going to teach vader everything he knew and allowed him to learn more so when Vader finally rose up against him he wouldn't even lift a finger to to defend himself. But that plan went to ashes win Vader wind up losing both arms and both legs and being in that life support suit. After that he said later was useless and is just a placeholder like maul and Dooku was. Without Flash hands he will never be able to learne Force lightning or defend against it, he will never learn Force storm, he will never be able to learn Force Crush. Only Force push, Force pull, & force choke. And because of his lost limbs he was now weaker in the force. Palpatine no longer saw him as the Sithari of Sith legends, but it failed prodigy. That's why he urged Luke to kill him and take his place.

I think Palpatine knew if he ever tangled with Vader in any attempt to kill him may cost him his own life just as we all know now the same for Vader when he killed Palpatine on Death Star 2 to save Luke it cost Vader his life as well

I like the saying 'everything is as the force wills it.' You mention that Vader is a shadow of the Sith Lord he might've been, presumably because of his injuries and prostheses limiting his connection to the force. But it never occured to me, until you just said it, maybe Vader was disabled because the force WILLED it so? Maybe it was 'checks and balances', so a being of his emmense raw power couldn't bring that full weight to bare in the cause of the dark side? Just wondering what anyone thinks.

Palpatine was nothing but contingency plans. It this, then that. I expect he had a plan to kill everyone at some point.  Qui-Gon Jinn's saber for the win!

I would have to say Exar Kun, he’s is my favorite lightsaber because he could use it as a single blade or a duel blade as he seen feet and he could adjust the power of the blades to a power that would even cut Mandalorian iron. That is why Exar Kun’s lightsaber Is my favorite.

I'm a big fan of Mace Windu's Purple saber. As I see it as a mix of the light side (blue) and the dark side (red) Kyber crystal. I imagine that those who might be classified as "Gray Jedi" or "Gray Force Users/Adepts" would lean towards having that color crystal.

It´s legends. We don´t have any canon source to support this anymore. It seems a sith master would substitute his former apprentice by making him confront a new one. Never by ordering his execution as stated in this apocryphum video.

Theres quite a few lightsabers I love but Anakin's lightsaber has been close to me, It shows how far things have gotten, how it's been through so much on this long journey from a galaxy far far away
