Thanks for the video - do you think upgrading from Arc to Arc Ultra in an ultimate setup up (Era 300 surrounds and dual sub) will make a material difference?

Letting enthusiast users add more speakers to the system, i.e. real ceiling speakers driven by the Sonos AMP (or two ONE SL), or two more side-positioned surround speakers as in a 9.1.4 setup, that would be awesome. Any word on this?

Looking at the rear of the Arc Ultra it appears there is no cut out to route cables from a TV above when wall mounting.
Also, I am still waiting for Sonos to enable 2 pairs of Ace headphones to be used together. I foolishly purchased 2 pairs at launch as offered by Sonos, thinking my wife and I could watch TV without disturbing others.
Still no mention of this even on the Ultra.

This isn't a surprise. I have a Samsung Q990B, if I wanted to upgrade to a Q990D I wouldn't expect my bar to be able to used as rears. Then again both of these come with rear speakers. I like Sonos but they should be offering rears with the Arc and Arc Ultra as standard.

Why can’t the Arc work as ceiling speakers with the Arc ultra for atmos? lol. Who is thinking the arc would work as a “rears” with the arc ultra? It’s a soundbar. Not one brand would make a soundbar work as rears. Get the Era300’s. Forget the “at launch” thing. It’s never happening. It’s a soundbar. I don’t think one person thinks this is “unfortunate.” Move it to the bedroom.
