HOW TO: Format SD Card To FAT32 | Win 10/8.1/8/7/Vista | TUTORIAL

This is how to format a memory stick or sd card to fat32 whether you're on 32gb 64gb 128gb or even 256gb. This will work on pen drives, jump drives, flash drives as well as Micro SD cards for your phone, nintendo 3ds/ds, tablets and many other products.

EaseUS is a great piece of software that allows you to format literally anything into any format you like.

Make sure to turn off write protection otherwise you may receive an error "cannot write data"

Thanks, watched your video and formatted my 128 GB Samsung micro SD card to FAT32 to be able to use it in my Android phone (October 10, 2018). Note: The summary said the card had 120 GB or so of space capacity then I plugged it into my phone and it recognize it for the first time and displays a capacity of 128 GB. It is obvious that SD cards have a electronic label to display certain advertised capacity.

Great video. Am I to understand that a 64GB SD card or USB "stick" drive or larger can be can be formatted to FAT32 and can remain the same size GB total capacity? I understand that the file size for each file will be limited to the 4GB size. If a SDXC card is used in a SDHC device, and reformatted to FAT32, will the total GB storage capacity be limited to 32GB or to the limit of the SDXC card capacity, say 64GB?

This worked for me. I have a dashcam that only accepts 32 GB, and of course, Fat32. When I did exactly all these steps, it worked. Instead of being stuck on 32 GB cards recording only 4 hrs 20 mins, I can record up to 8 hrs on one 64 GB microSD.

Do you need a micro USB as well as the 64 gb sd card for formatting? Or could you just use the SD card?

Even though the website has updated the software, this advice has helped resolved the problem of using an SD XC I Card on my Canon 500d camera. Well done for putting this up on YouTube.

I tried the way you say, but Error showing "There are some error occurred while writing partition chains on disk. Updating system information... The operation is completed, and some operations failed.

Worked well to format a 128GB Samsung Micro SD card with FAT32 even with the newer free version of EaseUS Partition Master. Tried a different free tool prior to this one on the same card, but that software kept giving errors. Thank you for the video.
