I love the fact that in a lot of depictions of Darkseid he fights with his hands behind his back and just uses his Omega Beams. It’s like he’s saying that he is so powerful he doesn’t even need to raise a fist. He doesn’t take his enemies seriously because to him they are ants.

That’s always been my issue with the way DC writes Darksied. The only one who’s been able to write Darksied the way he should be written is Grant Morrison. He’s a metaphysical concept that’s beyond everyone in the DC universe and even his avatars are powerful enough to causally beat being such as the Specter, yet usually gets his ass kicked by the Justice League every other week and almost never wins. If DC wrote Darksied a little closer to the way Thanos is portrayed in Marvel comics, who has a damn good number of wins against Marvel heroes, Darksied would feel a lot more threatening against the DC universe

Highfather = Concept of every good thing that ever happens
Darkseid = concept of every bad thing that ever happens
When both fight it influences reality and existence

I love Darkseid and I hate how he's portrayed in comics and in animation. I guess it doesn't matter how powerful you are, you can't defeat the plot.
