Your initial explaination of the Lymphatic system has explained something I witnessed when I was a scrub nurse in Trauma theatre. An IV infusion had tissuesed and hadn’t been spotted until the skin in the upper arm ruptured and the clear fluids ran out of the wound. Everyone was utterly amazed as no one had ever witnessed something like this before and having spent 25 years as a registered nurse in the operating theatre I never heard of it happening again thankfully.

On ePLND during my prostatectomy, one small 3mm node was found with 1mm of cancer. After seeing several videos indicating the probable location of cancerous nodes, I asked for 45 Greys of nodal radiation from obturator through para-aortic. After seeing this video I now understand why it is important to treat all the nodes through the para-aortic, since the prostate drains through multiple nodal groups and paths, but also eventually upward through the para-aortic. Wonderful explanation; thank you so much.
