How to Seal an Asphalt Driveway

I show how to seal an asphalt driveway. Put one thin coat of blacktop driveway sealer on the driveway for the best results. Check the label on the driveway sealer you are using for that product's recommendations. Some driveway sealers are put down with a squeegee and a brush, some are rolled on.

This is a very well done video for the resealing of the drive way asphalt. I had done this a few times myself and the advice is right on the money. A couple thing I would do differently though, is to wear rubber boot and short rather than sneakers and jeans, unless you are going to throw them out anyway. In addition, the sealer seems to be a bit thin, mine is a lot thicker after stirring it up, so I only pour 4 puddles across the drive way and spread them out. It is also very important that you don't do this under full sun, the dammed sealer will dry out too quickly before you can spread them out, so only put down what you can spread them out before they dry up. I'd also avoid using the brush if possible, it splatters too much but if you have rubber boots, it won't matter. Using the squeezy alone should be good enough unless the asphalt surface is too irregular and too uneven. Last but not least, make sure that all the surface is covered with the sealed coat, so that it won't peal off. Needless to say, I learned some of the lessons from my own mistakes in the first couple times (shoes and long pants).

what brand did you use? it looks more watery than the henry one u used... which one did you like better and how are they different? lastly some leave a matte black finish and some have like a wet look finish is that a second step...?thanks
