No one can deny the huge role LAPS has played in enhancing our security. And it's equally undeniable that it's now time for the legacy LAPS to step down, making way for its newer and even more secure sibling. We'll guide you through the migration from the legacy LAPS to the shiny new Windows LAPS. More than that, we'll ensure it dovetails perfectly with PDQ Deploy and PDQ Inventory. Pretty cool, huh?

Though not a PDQ user this video was very helpful for OLD LAPS installed setups like me...

Can't believe I missed the webcast but I did have a question! The New Windows LAPS now captures the Administrator Account that gets used within the AD device Attribute. Will PDQ be updated to retrieve this account name? This would remove the need to have multiple LAPS names listed in Scan Credentials.

I didn't even know LAPS was being replaced. There's too much change.

Does Windows LAPS support older versions of domain controllers 2012 R2 standard and DFL 2008?

I understand there are some limitations around storing the password on clear text and DSRM can’t encrypt if we are running below DFL 2016.

We accept the limitations but would like to know if it’s still possible to implement.

I could have sworn they said there was going to be an option to enable a password history of up to 10 passwords or so. I don't see that option in Azure.
