The problem with the portable battery industry, and especially EcoFlow, is that all the products are TOO EXPENSIVE!! The delta pro 3 needs to be $1, 000 *at most* and all the other products scaled down in price similarly.

Great device but the price is just insane.

These batteries keep getting better and BIGGER. Before long they will need to be self propelled to move them.

Excellent review of the DP3 features! The 240V plug on the DP3 is a game changer. Also, being able to charge the DP3 from the grid while using it to charge something else. I have 2 original DPs that use the dual voltage hub to get 240v. The DVH is run to a transfer switch to power 10 essential circuits in a power outage. I would love to have the DP3, however, the system I have doesn't seem to work with the DP3. My system works just fine and I have used it through multiple power outages. If I were to upgrade, I would upgrade to the DP Ultra and the Smart Home Panel2. That way I could plug in my existing batteries into the SP2.

I wish the batteries were standardized modules that you could swap as needed when they inevitably lose capacity over time.

The biggest drawback for these portable power stations is the cost. I purchased a $300 gas inverter generator (30 amp, 3600 RW) and hardwired the electrical connections into my house panel earlier this year. It works great and does what I need it to do.

Problem is, my generator was $600 10 years ago and does the job.
That new ecoflow generator is an interesting concept though - if a regular propane cylinder is really enough to generate 20KW, then having it automatically come on and off based on the smaller battery need is pretty neat... My house load during a storm is low overall EXCEPT for short bursts when the well pump kicks on... so this setup would allow a smaller quiet, fuel sipping generator instead of my giant one.
All I really want is something like this that can top up from my EV 72kw battery... that would be amazing. Car manufactures need to step up.

I wonder how EcoFlow came out of nowhere, it seems like only 2 years ago, and basically cemented itself as the leader in clean energy generators.

The Anker Solix f3800 also has 240v and almost all of the same features, but it can output 150% of the wattage. They are around the same price too. I don’t think they’ve “destroyed” the competition.

I recently ordered the new Delta Pro Ultra from EcoFlow, but I'm having a frustrating issue. They sent me the inverter but not the battery, and to make matters worse, they charged me for the full unit.

When I emailed them to ask about the missing battery, they informed me that the batteries for this unit are out of stock and won't be available until mid-July. However, when I later called their customer service number, I was told the batteries would be in stock in early July.

These conflicting dates keep me stuck with a Delta Pro Ultra and no battery indefinitely. Adding to my frustration, their website still allows people to order the kits and the batteries as if they're readily available.

All the channels I follow have this item today I’m starting to really doubt everyone now

Lost power for 2 days last year which was a problem for all the frozen food I have. Bought and installed something similar from Anker (F3800) which allows me to switch to backup in seconds. When it runs down, I can use my gas generator to run the house and recharge the battery unit. Expensive yes but running a gas generator 24/7 in my development is not ideal.

Just a heads up for anyone thinking about buying an Ecoflow power station. If they are out of an item, their website will not state this. Therefore, they will take your money for something they don't even have in stock. I ordered a River 2/panel combo for my daughter. The panel was shipped, but the not the River2. I had to email them to find out what is going on with the River2. That's when they informed me that they won't have any until the end of July.

Great product! For the price, however, I'd throw in a couple more K's and get a fossil-fueled Generac. Whole home power. 🤷‍♂️
