Wow I’m so amazed! I’ve been to 3 different Arthritis “Specialists” for this exact arthritis and was told there is nothing medically they can do for RA related arthritis in your thumb joint ! I will look into this further! Thanks for posting

Crazy to see this in my feed. My husband torn his tendon in his thumb. Dr said he’d have to do this (very similar) procedure if he couldn’t reattach the tendon that tore. He showed us where he’d have to harvest the new tendon to use. (Just like this video.)

I say we remove all the carpals, and lengthen the metacarpals. Less joints to cause problems. That or surgically fuse the carpals since they act as fixed joints in the first place.
