Guy Fox succeeded in a parallel universe. That world has the same holiday.

Hello, Anna, my greetings from Montevideo. After the film "V for Vendetta", we learned what is "Bonfire Night". I've read in the Internet that every year the authorities recomend people to take extremly care in order to avoid fire spreading or fireworks accidents. And, of course, it is associated with the voice of Natalie Portman in the opening of the movie: "Remember, remember, the fifth of November; gunpowder, treason and plot..."

I'm American, I don't know about this national holiday of Bonfire Night in England. So is the movie V for Vendetta is based on this historic event or a modern take of it?

Did you know Fawkes fell from the scaffold where he was to be hanged and broke his neck, thus avoiding the agony of being hanged, drawn and quartered, I did not know that until today as i was doing research for my next video on my other channel. Loved the video by the way

I love history. Very useful lesson. In France, we say : La «Conspiration des Poudres». I know a little bit about this period. Great to hear you about it.

Guy Fawks the last person to enter parliament with honorable intentions. When you grow up here in the UK the guys usually have a paper cut out of the prime minister face on it. I'm guessing that there will be plenty of guys this year with half the tory and Labour party members images on them.
