"4th oldest school in the world" the oldest 3 are still in England. St Peters was well over 900 years old when Fawkes attended. (Established in 627) also the 2nd oldest schools motto is "Learn or leave"

You can always look at the BBC drama 'Gunpowder' (which is airing on HBO in the US, thanks to a particular Game of Thrones actor starring in it) for the inspiration behind Guy Fawkes' gunpowder plot.

You haven't experienced Bonfire Night unless you've been to one in Sussex. The celebrations last from mid-September all the way to mid-November. People walk through the streets with flaming torches, setting off explosives in the middle of the street, set of explosions at the war memorials (I know it doesn't seem respectful, but here in Sussex it is done out of respect). It's absolutely manic and I love it.

We’re British: we don’t say “November 5th” under any circumstance. It’s always day then month. This channel is still making me furious with its American cultural imperialism seeping into our culture.

It's really bad for animals because people always go on about dogs being scared but owners of dogs bring them inside unlike cats and rabbits, rabbits usually don't come in but some owners do bring them in I have two cats and they're probably the animal you should worry about because they go outside out of your garden and you don't know where they are they can end up dead because of fireworks
