Some people are trying to rewrite history. The fireworks are a celebration of the plotters failure and punishment. It is not a celebration of the attempt!
The origins of fireworks night and as far as I’m concerned, still are Protestant and anti catholic.
(I am atheist so don’t have a preference for any religion over the other)
I’m just keen on the preservation of the origin.

Pretty sure we celebrated the attempt, not the failure. Also we did not burn the Guy Fawkes but rather a huge parliament building made of wooden crates. Oh well I might have lived in wrong parts of UK ;)
