I got a negative counciling as a Platoon Leader for doing this. My guys left at 3 everyday for 4 months until the BC had a last minute tasking for us at 1630. Everyone except me and the PSG were gone.

No. One of the luxuries I had in the Army was the 1 and 1/2 hour lunch (sometimes 1 hour, 45 minutes) Unless directly ordered otherwise I always took it, even if it meant going home at 22:00.

My division always did, and we gotta out early. Not always early as we liked but still early.

I ran with a shop where it was true. We would get a large shipment of items that needed repairs, and nothing past 0900. We would work through lunch (30 min) and get out hour, even 2 sometimes.

Granted, it was a 3-person shop located where command and QA forgot the location.

Every time my company plans some moral boost event we have to come in early to make up for the lost time and some times half the company miss it because this last minute things comes up due to miss communication between higher ups that could be done next has to be done right that second

I did 8 yrs. Can comfirm of the literally 100s of times i heard them say we would get off early, never once was it not just a bold face lie.

Not happening 1500 release means 1500 formation that will last 6 hours then you still have to finish up or have a "mandatory fun day" after hours after being the record holder for E-4 promotion demotion I can attest to this (never got 5 but was off and on a 8 yr CPL) only 2 demotions one I deserved but the first I didn't me and some brothers were at a military bar off post at Camp Edward's in the Cape I went out knowing my promotion was the next day everyone else had their American flags on their arms and legs mine is on my left ribs and some retarded dependa told the owner (my commander's brother) I dropped trou when I only took off my shirt) I was promoted the next day then 45 minutes after release was told I would be demoted don't even bother wearing my SPC rank the next day, they demoted me and made me wait 6 months to get it back. Then got one because I was celebrating a blue falcons 5 promotion...he was drinking with me and we drank a 3 liter bottle of Jack he is still a slick sleeve retiring in 3 more years I was only 28 days back from Iraq he decided to tell 1SGT he saw me drinking at the Cantina on ROB(Forced reclass for "needs of the Army) (home from deployment 7 days before reporting to K-Town) 28 days later was on No drinking order this buddy fucker told 1SGT He saw me drinking in reality he was drinking with me Kyle Johnson is still a bitch
