GoPro Hero 3 plus review, Sharp, Dark and Cold image compared to Hero2.
The Hero3plus gives a colder and darker image, compared to the warm colors from Hero2. But sharpness has improved and there is less color bleeding and artifacts.
My new GoPro Hero3plus finally arrived and I am eager to make the first recordings and compare qualitiy against the Hero2.
I waited for this new model since there was a mixed reception on the Hero 3 model.
If the sun is shining on the road and the landscape, the image seems nice and quite neutral, but slightly bluish.
Again, sunshine is best for these cameras, backlight is a common problem for most cameras. Tilting the camera forwards will give a better result.
Hero3 plus is quite good and sharp in low light conditions.
The colors have a tiny sting of magenta compared to the yellow Hero2 image.
I think I will miss the warm autumn colors from the Hero2, and probably do some color correction when editing recordings from the new model.
If the sky covers less of the image, the exposure is really good and the image is much cleaner and has more contrast than Hero2.
In the afternoon sun the Hero2 gives almost a burning yellow, while Hero3plus produces more neutral daylight colors.
Maybe the new model is closer to the true colors.
It will surely be a challenge to mix recordings from this new model and Hero2.

I like the colours of the HERO2 much more! The HERO3+ is only a little bit sharper than the HERO2. Great video! Well done!
