While I was stationed in Germany near Giessen I lived across the street from a bakery, I was doomed from the start . There was a small Italian themed restaurant in Giessen named the Capri that became our favorite, they had a super Cordon Bleau, it was HUGE with wonderful melted cheese, that or the grand ole stand by jagerschnitzel.

I recognize that this is sort of a niche topic, but I really wanted to make a video about German foods, even if it may not be the most popular idea. Thanks for your patience, and we will be returning to our normal series of videos tomorrow!

Ich liebe Curry-Wurst. :P I am from North Rhine-Westphalia, so that's probably a given.

Also, amazing job on keeping the correct pronunciations of the German words! You did an amazing job on the "Top 10 Things You Didn't Know About Germany" and you do it here as well.

You are really good in speaking out german words, almost no accent! I'm not a bavarian (I'm a hessian) but as far a I know they don't serve Weißwurst after 12am down there, also zuzeln is the traditional way to eat it, everything else is only something that tourists do.

I remember the Schnell Imbiß stands from many years ago.
A little like the food trucks popular nowadays in urban areas, except they were trailers, not motorized, that were parked in market areas in, like, Frankfurt am Mein, Marburg, and where I lived for a year and a half, Gießen. What I remember best was the Bratwurst with a Brötchen and Senf, or Rindswurst, or Pomme Frites with Mayonnaise on the side.
Those weren't the healthiest of foods, but they sure hit the spot.

In Germany about 90% of all germans (including me) hate Weißwurst. Only in Bayern (the very south of germany) they really eat it.
