Sir Roger Penrose OM FRS (born 8 August 1931) is an English mathematical physicist, mathematician and philosopher of science. He is Emeritus Rouse Ball Professor of Mathematics in the University of Oxford, an emeritus fellow of Wadham College, Oxford and an honorary fellow of St John's College, Cambridge.

Penrose has made contributions to the mathematical physics of general relativity and cosmology. He has received several prizes and awards, including the 1988 Wolf Prize for physics, which he shared with Stephen Hawking for the Penrose–Hawking singularity theorems.

Penrose sat down with Professor Brian Keating to discuss artificial intelligence, consciousness, cosmology, and the many fascinating developments in physics since the publication of The Emperor’s New Mind in 1989.

Roger Penrose a treasure of humanity. Brilliant as few, gracious as fewer, and humble as non orher. Not as the herd of arrogants led by Suskind, Witten, Guth, Linde, Gross....and Kaku, Carroll, Wolfram, and krauss representing the ones with no significant contributions in the field yet as laud as they come.

Sir Roger Penrose says that CCC is a"crazy idea".
But for me personally, I think his idea makes more sense, and is less crazy, than the current consensus on the origin or cyclical evolution of the universe.

It would be a great thing for all humanity of Sir Penrose connects with an expert weightlifting trainer, with a great regime he can extend his life and quality of life for 30+ years.

Please, someone please ask Dr. Penrose: In the Emperor's New Mind refers to Schrodinger stating that life maintains itself alive by sucking up low entropy from its environment. If this is so, then why is no one measuring this? Why is no one "keeping books" on this? Are we sure we are getting enough low entropy in our diets to maintain good health? Are we as a society getting enough low entropy to run governments and schools and healthcare systems?
