My Teodoro is a big boy, not 1 year yet and 6.5 kg. I feed him with dry food, twice a day, I don’t leave food all day. At night I give half wet food bag. I use Royal canin British short hair, same for wet but i tend to buy other wet food time to time.Mine is lilac too. He looks like your kitten and personality very similar too. Teo sits on my lap sometimes for 10 min max, pouring and squeezing his face on me ❤. British is the most adorable cats.

we've always had British blues, we have Claude and Izzy and you are so right about them not being lap cats but always by your side. just love them, as a treat I give ours tuna now and again. x

That's very good that you mentioned about the need for contact. I have two Maine coons and they need A LOT of contact which is so lovely but the guilt of leaving anywhere for longer than an hour is epic. 😭

She's gorgeous! I just love seeing her! I have 4 male cats and there's no smell. I'll take cats over dogs any day. Also, another misconception about cats is that male cats spray/pee outside the litter box. A healthy, neutered male cat will NOT spray/pee outside the box. The ONLY time I've ever had an issue with this is when my oldest cat first developed Diabetes he would go outside the box every once in awhile. After taking him to the vet and getting his glucose levels in the normal range, I haven't had an issue.

We have a female British shorthair too and her name is Gigi too. She is only 8 months and very active always going out playing in our and neighbours gardens. We have been feeding her only with dry kitten food but we will feed her with raw meat after watching your video. Many thanks 👍

We just adopted a male chocolate Brit from Belarus, we will have him around the 3rd week of January when he is around 16 weeks old

Thanks for sharing the information 🙂 I have a 9 months old male British shorthair and he’s similar to how you described Gigi’s personality, with a big difference: he’s actually not an independent cat! He’s demanding and I wasn’t expecting that, having researched the breed. He’s an amazing cat though and luckily for him we are at home most of the time so can play with him and pet him very often!

I bought a British short hair without knowing anything about the breed and I must say I got very lucky I got exactly the perfect cat for me not too active very Independent and adaptable. When I want to travel I can leave her at my friends house and I know she will be ok the first time I did that I got nicely surprised by how easily she adapted to her new environment I can’t afford another cat and apparently this breed doesn’t really like sharing their space with another cat so that’s also a good thing overall I really got my purrfect match 😻
