This is undoubtedly the absolute gold standard of this song. And Lea Salonga is THE Eponine! The stylistic parallels between Miss Saigon and Les Mis you have mentioned are obvious, well, both are written by the same composer. Please check out Lea's other performance from Les Mis, like "A little fall of rain" from the same show. She also played the role of Fantine ("I dreamed a dream"). Other performances like the ones of "Don't cry for me, Argentina" or "Too much for one heart" or "Via Dolorosa" are amazing, too. Anyway, Lea Salonga - Queen of Broadway! Greetings from Europe.

Clear crisp diction is unique to Leah Salonga. This is one reason why her voice is very pleasing to listen to. You can understand every word she said.One of the best voices out there.

I saw Les Miserables in San Francis, years and years ago. It was SO STUNNING. Being who I am, I knew the entire musical before seeing it. I still have the original London cast CD set and still listen to it! I also saw Miss Saigon in the same theatre. I have seen so many musicals. I am really really happy you are looking at them, also!
