Absolutely brilliant . . .

I had a radiator leak from just under the cap to the base of the main tank. Wrapped the paper around the crack, applied glue and more paper a couple of times. Problem solved. Drove 300 miles didn't lose a drop of water

I am a fixer. I make do with whatever I can find or make that I cannot buy or have the equipment to machine. The super glue tricks i have seen are a real help to the imagination when it comes to "now how do I make THAT!" Thanks for the uploads inventor 101!

I've used super glue and baking soda to repair plastic cases of hand-held electronics that get real heavy industrial use. One of them had a corner I completely rebuilt still holding strong after 2 years. Had I known paper could work, I would have saved 30 minutes of time and given that corner a nice flower pattern..

Several years back, while working as a courier, I managed to break part of my phone cradle. I needed it to use for GPS for work there and then, so had a quick look around in the junk I had all around in my van. I found half a tube of superglue, so tried gluing it. The cradle just snapped again in the same place, so I realised I needed to reinforce it somehow. The answer came in the form of a McDonalds napkin. I re-glued the cradle, wrapped some torn off pieces if napkin around it, soaked that in glue, did that twice more, and it was done. I went about another 7 or 8 years in that job, still using the same cradle. When I left I transferred the cradle to my car instead, and it's still there. It looks slightly like I've stuck chewing gum around it, but it's never broken again, so I've never replaced it.

It turns out that tissue and superglue is a surprisingly tough composite material.

I joined together (very carefully) a snapped in half dental plate using super glue and sodium bicarbonate. It's still holding strong over a year later. Saved over £250 at the dentist 👍

I really enjoyed this! And definitely I am going to utilize this on difficult items to repair.
One thing that made me laugh though was the rapid clicking sound made when the piece being worked on was tapped with a finger, or a stick, or on the table. It instantly reminded me of The Benny Hill show and the poor old man that he used to slap on the top of his head. IDK why, but it just reminded me of that. It was cracking me up. 😆

So many of these would be Uber useful in my hobby, I build R/C trucks, cars, etc. and things break all the time! Replacement parts can be really expensive and often unavailable. Definitely a keeper idea for that!
