Bro, that band new clean-look. Very esthetic and I’m sure, perform as good as nowadays mtb.

Very cool! I'm working on a similar build.
Which break levers are those? I will be needing new ones as the integrated XT shifter+levers are going out.

Just found one of these in UK after looking for a while. Picking it up tonmorow. It has Deore XT V brakes and levers so will be keeping those. The Forks are Rockshocks but are nothing special so will be changing them. What do you recommend? I know a lot of these older forks need rebuilding.

This looks good. I have an old GT Palomar and would like to do the same to give it a new life. Do you think it would be the same setup?

Hey great video. I'm doing something similar but with a GT Ricochet. It has a shimano 8 speed hub the FH-RM40 to be exact. What hub did your bike have that let you use the 11 speed cassette? I would like to do the same but I'm worried about the compatibility.

I want to do a 1x11 conversion on my vintage bike but I want to keep the original Shimano crank set in tact. Do you know of a good narrow-wide 30T or 32T chain ring that would have 5 bolt holes and the correct BCD (I think 74)?

So have now got an mt800 bottom bracket that screws into my 1990 timberline but I think need some spacers as it is longer than the width of frame The frame is 68mm.

The mt800 only came with 1 small spacer.

Do you know how I can make it work?

Hey mate, looking at the front crankset and in the first detailed walkthrough on your disc brake 05 model you said you put a 10/11 speed Deore 32t with 49mm spacing. But In this video you said you went for the 10speed Deore 32t with 51mm spacing. Just confused which one is best?

What’s the Rockshox a coil spring fork? Did you ever do any maintenance on it or does it still work? Just curious I might get a 90s Gt w the Rockshox

Hey Nige, question: if I have a 7 speed hub (Shimano Alivio), can I ran a 10sp cassette? I’d rather not change out the hubs

Hi, what brand cassette do you use on this build?

Why so much resto - mod ? The bicycles lose value and originality doing this . I have vintage MTB'S but I keep them close to original by having new old stock components on hand from the 1990's .
