How has your son liked the 1x drivetrain compared to the 3x setup? What was the main reason for the change? Liked you video!

Alot simpler than the other video i watched, he was saying you had to change the derailleur clutch on the back as it would throw the chain out

Why convert from 3X to 1X? I'm currently looking to convert my bike to an e-bike and i noticed the converter kit only comes with 1X and the kits asks me select the number of teeth for the chainring. I'm a new rider trying to get into cycling on weekends

My question is not so much about what you did but is about how the first gear is going to work when you do a climb on the trails because I generally use the smallest on the front of the 3x which gives me the easiest way to pedal up the hills. What I am getting at is if the new 1x is about the same as the middle one on the 3x it is going to be hard as hell going up a hill so what do I need to do I am wanting to switch to a 1x?

just removing the front derailleur is not really a convertion. You are just removing gears. you need to also change the rear cassette to give a proper gear rage
