Whenever developers announce that there won't be a single player, cancel your preorder immediately. The game is going to be under developed but they'll try to cover it up by saying something like "the game doesn't need single player".

10:50 funnily enough BFV's customization was objectively better: select a "face" for your character, mix and match different Headgear, Torso and Leg skins (+face paint) and you had Elites which you couldn't customize but had unique voice and quips (similar to specialists)

I was so hyped for this game too. Such a disappointment. Arguably the worst AAA title ever made. And I love how they were sticking to their stance on changing everything that was great about battlefield. Then with so much backlash and 90 percent of the community and fanbase leaving. All of a sudden they are changing it back. Season 1 was boring and a let down and the game is to far gone from fixing. Such a shame.

After being burnt out on two preorders, I’m happy I didn’t buy this game at all. The beta told me everything I needed to know, and I’m glad I got all of my friends to hold off on their purchases too. Put out a shit product and this is what you get.

I really enjoyed BF1 & Battlefield 5. Countless hours were spent playing both games. Conquest 24/7. Unfortunately I did not feel the same way about 2042. I am thankful I played the beta before committing to purchasing or preordering the game.

was objectively the same that 343i told Halo players about infinite's beta and that the "release" would be further refined, yet it was the 100% exact build lol

Just remember that Star Wars Battlefront 3 was denied and canceled by both EA and Dice, and Battlefront 2 is no longer being updated and probably never will, just so they could make Battlefiield 2042, which was probably the most biggest gaming disaster since the launch of Cyberpunk 2077, a game that was hyped for damn near a decade

i stayed far away from launch, and was deeply saddened as i had drowned HOURS into bf2 and 3. with this in mind, i can honestly say that i just jumped in for a first impression with season 2 starting, and i'm honestly having fun. really hope they catch their stride, there's so much potential here

I didn't start until Battlefield 3, but I still have good memories of that game.

Whenever I hear that an fps game is launching without a campaign, it’s an instant red flag for me. I wouldn’t say that I buy fps games for the campaign but the single player is a good way to get a feel for how the game plays before hopping straight into MP. A good campaign also gives me reason to return to the game in the future, even when the servers are dead or full of hackers/modders.

This game during the beta on ps4 at least, was damn near unplayable because of how terrible the aiming felt.

In regards to the 128 players, they never should of down that. OG DICE tried this years and years ago and they said “this does not work”
They never should of tried again.

I think you really understated how broken and lacking the game launched and how incompetent the dev team is. It took them 5 months and several delays to implement a scoreboard into a fps game. That should tell you all you need to know. There are still numerous bugs that I personally experienced in the Beta and in the current build just days ago. This deserves its place on the steam top 10 worst AAA games.

There's a reason why BF4 was a great success even it had a disastrous launch same as 2042. BF4 doesn't changed the core BF formula. But dice destroyed that cores on 2042. The more i play BF4, i love that game. But more i play 2042, i hate that.

The thing about 2042 is that they're making progress now, but it may be too late. With how many people just stopped playing the game after launch it'll be a miracle if they manage to recover this game
