Patellar Apprehension Test | Patella Dislocation Knee

-- PURPOSE --
Assess for patella dislocation

-- PATIENT POSITION --
Supine

-- TECHNIQUE --
► Have the patient resting with their knee flexed to approximately 30°
► Press on the medial side of their patella and shift it laterally
► Assess the patient's facial expressions to see if they appear apprehensive

-- POSITIVE TEST --
If the patient is apprehensive (E.g., reaches for their leg or tries to straighten their knee)
