I tried to return it and the company is refusing to accept a return. That should be a big red flag right there. Don;t buy it.

I'd love it but the subscription is a killer. For my exchange rate, it's actually pretty expensive and then there's the initial purchase price as well which is really expensive. I think I'll stick with my galaxy watch 4 which was expensive, doesn't have a subscription that's charged in USD.

Agreed. Since I had the misfortune of ordering the wrong size and needed to exchange it, Oura now refuses to accept a return of a ring that’s not working. In multiple emails they have not asked what the problem is to try to help fix it. 😢 There’s nowhere to leave a review.

Yes, the sub is a killer for some. For me, I was paying for the Calm app and now use the same feature built into the Oura app. Plus I use my HSA to pay for the subscription.

Yhea but it says on the website that the app still works, you just don't get the advanced stuff. So you don't need it.
And just wait until you hear about the sub fees of the whoop strap

I had been doing some research on oura ring to treat myself for my birthday… But watching this one plus some further comments, I realise I can treat myself to something else! I already have an apple watch since 4 years (yes, I most probably need to upgrade…), but it has given me a good enough sense for data and the subscription stuff would cause me more stress than joy 🤣

On the having other devices to track. I personally got tired of wearing an Apple Watch, and rather wear a traditional watch so there isn’t another distracting tech on me, phone is enough. You kind of forget you are wearing the ring and all along it is doing all the tracking. I also play soccer, and watches are not allowed while playing so the ring helps tracks while I’m playing.

I have the Apple Watch 6 but it doesn’t really give me a good understanding on my sleep. I really want to see what’s the hype about or of this is another placebo effect. I ordered the ring a few weeks ago but it’s in back order. Hopefully it will ship soon. I am not feeling the subscription though.
