The Full Story of Halo Wars 2 – Before You Play Halo Infinite

As Halo Infinite's launch approaches, so, too, do we approach the end of our recap of the entire Halo series. Having spoken about nearly everything there is to speak about where the games are concerned, we now arrive at the final instalment in the series' chronology so far- Halo Wars 2, set nearly three decades after the events of the first Halo Wars, and shortly after the dramatic events of Halo 5: Guardians.

With The Banished – first introduced in Halo Wars 2 – serving as major antagonists in the upcoming Halo Infinite, the 2017 strategy title obviously has an important place in the series canon- so here is the full story of Halo Wars 2.

Thanks for these videos. I loved the first Halo Wars game but never got around to playing the second one before Infinite. Hopefully, Halo: Infinite will release a DLC explaining what happened to Allers and the Spirit of Fire as well as giving us some more on screen stuff of what happened during the 6 months Chief was knocked out.

*** *Spoilers ahead* ***:

I really want to see a DLC that shows us Atriox confronting Cortana after she got captured. The scene would be cool seeing Cortana thinking it would be Chief and then her shock to see that it's Atriox and then utter horror at Chief being spaced. I also would love to see the guardian that you see in the distance crashing and an actual scene of Cortana sacrificing herself with the explosion and all. As weird as it sounds, I'd also would love to see something around Locke where he confronts the Spartan Killer Brute brothers and loses. Apparently, he's not actually dead and the helmet is just a trophy according to dialogue that one of the brother says. I also would love to see what happened to Jun. The dude was the one in charge of the station that got blown up by Leonidas but his fate is still unknown.

I thought it was destroyed in Halo 3 unless it’s another different type of ark right?….

Wouldn't it be so cool if the spirit of fire popped out of a portal right before a huge banished ship fires a volley at chief. Instantly destroying the ship with its massive guns. Man that would be an awesome cutscene.
