It's really psychotic the kind of language some of these people use. Especially on the spiritual end. Like, are they implying other animals are hyper aware and hyper intelligent animals somehow cosmically in tune with all things? It just knows and actively wants to seek you out just to give you a feel good time at the cost of your health? The animal isn't making any sacrifices, it's just being tortured by mindless losers for fun. I'd like to see how willing these people will be when it's their turn to sacrifice themselves to the next hungry grizzly bear they see. The bear will appreciate their sacrifice deeply.

You know I am also religious and spiritual and I am inclined to believe that what we consume and surround ourselves with does not only contain physical but also spiritual energy. And why would you want to consume the foods that are filled with suffering, fear, terror, hopelesness, and desperation unless you are some kind of a very evil witch which most witches aren't. I am especially astonished by some pagans who say they worship Mother Earth yet they directly harm Her by rejecting to go vegan!

I mean, I would be vegan either way, whether I were of a different religion or an atheist, my first and foremost point is ethics, not spirituality. Still, it is nice that my religion implies veganism and I can do both what is objectively ethical and what I personally enjoy at the same time.

Drives me crazy when people hide behind traditions or beliefs to keep engaging in unnecessary cruelty. Like when people "thank" the animal for what it has provided them. I'm sure the animal really appreciates the sentiment 🙄
