For those wondering why Skynet would want Compound-V. The main Terminator in Terminator: Salvation (named Marcus) is a cyborg, who is able to avoid the Uncanny Valley due to being a former human and unaware that most of his flesh is now metal. Presumably, Skynet wants to see how much more effective it could make it's cyborg Terminators using Compound-V.

I think the logic behind compound V is either to add additional abilities to their organic disguise or more likely use the detrimental effects to further hinder humanity. Give them stuff like moe slow’s powers and such.
