When someone makes these claims, ask them this: “do you also think peanut BUTTER, gummy BEARS, Easter EGGS, or coconut MILK should also have to change their names? Or are you just using this argument as an excuse to criticize veganism without realize you’re inadvertently criticizing other foods you’ve always eaten?”

It’s such a ridiculously insincere argument. Really? Is peanut butter too confusing for you? You think cows produce peanuts?

My family always avoided dairy and was buying rice milk 40 years ago! It's not confusing at all! How ridiculous.

Cognitive dissonance runs very deep in the collective unconscious. I feel that animal products are the real cringe once you've thought logically and consciously about what they are, where they come from, and why most people have to change the appearance, texture, and taste of most animal products just to consume them. If we were made to eat animals and products made from animals, they should be able to be consumed raw. That is just not the case. They need to be cooked or processed to be consumed. 🙏💜✨️

I use to haul livestock, it literally almost gave me a nervous breakdown! We’ve been vegan 3 yrs now! You can’t even imagine the horrors I’ve seen in those places

That woman who said that cows milk isn't even for humans had a lot of sense. Respect to her.

Plant based food is wonderful and doesn't clog your arteries or make you feel like you can't move❤

Gotta love irony. That guy doesn't realize how cringe he is saying that plant based sausage is cringey.

Nut juice activists when they realise they’ve said peanut butter their whole life without a problem…

It's not 'confusing' at all - as one guy said, as long as it says 'alternative', or plant-based...

It’s not confusing…one relies on using animals in the most unnatural and cruel way, and one uses plants…why not change to plant-exclusive? You’ll feel better for it.❤

The major criticisms come from the meat and dairy industries vis-à-vis the naming of products. These industries need to be constantly called out and confronted.

If velveeta can call itself cheese (food, product, spread;whatever) then anything can be called anything. Plus the word meat isn’t trademarked ffs.

She actually said, it's confusing, no shame.

The butterfly effect is caused by the flap anti-vegans get into when dairy words are used for non dairy items.

What? Are we going to now call milk weed by a different name? Or coconut milk? A milky liquid is just that - It’s a white liquid! Get over it carnivores/herbivores!!! Yeah vegans!! Kindness counts - to the animals and the planet!

As a kid, I always wondered why we used different words to describe the food that came from animals vs. why we just called plant food the plants. Then it connected sometime about 6 years ago and I've been vegan ever since

It’s interesting how many people are comfortable saying on camera.
“I’m too stupid to tell the difference between vegan and non vegan products.”

If we have to call it something other than milk then they have to call it cows milk and cows butter. The dairy industry doesn’t have a monopoly on the word. Ridiculous
