ive been atheist/agnostic my whole life. 3 years ago i really got into witchcraft and Wicca, it truly intrigued me like no other belief. 1 year later i considered myself Wiccan. But recently, i realized im still atheist at heart lol and Wicca just isnt fully me, but i still love witchcraft. So now i just consider myself a secular solitary witch. Things can always change as you learn and grow and thats okay

Ok ok I’m gonna make a long story short. I was in a little old thrift store with my mom when I was 5 and I was bored. This old lady in odd earthy looking fabrics handed me a wax stamped with a cool design in it. I didn’t know what it was until about last month. I kept the thing with me as a good luck charm and it was in my pocket when I saw a book. It was a boon on Wicca with a pentagram on the front. Cool, all fun and games right? NOPE. I see the earth symbol as a point on the pentagram and I freak out. It the same symbol as the one on the stamper. It actually felt like it was buzzing in my pocket once I touched the book. So I got into Wicca and now I’m a witch

As an "older" witch, I consider myself a Witch...Healer, magical, and totally me!! ;) ( some would say a Hearth Witch.) I think the only label you need is.."YOU". You are YOU. ;) <3

I feel labels limit your practice. Keep yourself open and experience everything that comes your way. I love the freedom there is to explore it ALL!

I'm new to learning about witchcraft but I love what you're saying. Hopefully over our whole lives were discovering more and more about ourselves in all ways. Labels (in general) can help send messages to other people about who you are/what you do but I don't want them to keep me in a box.

I personally think that if you practice the art of Witchcraft. Then the only  label  you really need is Witch. The Student of the Old Religion, was the title I've always used to describe myself in the Craft.

I have been a practicing witch for nearly 20 years now and this is, perhaps, one of the most lucid and brilliantly simple discussions on the importance of this labeling "problem" that can trip up many new (and now so new) witches.  I used to refer to myself as an Eclectic Witch---I now simply refer to myself a witch. You are absolutely correct that witchcraft is about self discovery and growth spiritually and that we must be mindful not to become stagnant.  Again....wonderful video. But in all seriousness, I agree with you completely. I myself am so fluid in my practice that flavoring myself would be almost impossible. I'm a witch with lots of flavors and more are sure to be added with time and condiments.

Labels can sometimes be limiting. Learn everything with a critical mind is more important in the beginning, in my opinion. xo

That is really great advice for new witches. Don't get hung up on labels. Start your work and find your path as you go. Things can change over time the more you learn the more you may find yourself drawn to explore other areas of the craft. Great job.

I always wondered how I could handle all the people with problems that I attracted when I myself was depressed almost my entire childhood, but I realized that helping these people and healing them is what helps me heal and be stronger. But I do tend to get really hurt when people don’t want my help after they’ve asked me for it... does this happen to anyone else? It makes me want to try harder but I know I shouldn’t force it upon them it’s just frustrating when people don’t believe :(

I like this video. The only thing that bothers me is when someone ask me if you have to be Wiccan so be a witch. I hate that. If that is the case than hoodoo witches do Wicca magic which is not true unless they want to . I think people forget there is witchcraft of different origins around the world . So no you don't need to believe in Wicca to be a witch. Love this video!
