The Most Epic NASA Space Mission! First Real Images Of Saturn

The approximate radius of the solar system is 30 trillion kilometers. During the whole time of exploration of this space, mankind has found 316 minor planets. And 8 main ones that everyone knows about.

But “know” is too big a word. In most cases, we only know what these planets look like and at what distance they are from the Earth. Everything else is just our assumptions. To replace speculation with facts, humanity regularly sends space research probes to other planets.

One of the most significant and truly epochal missions was "Cassini-Huygens", the purpose of which was to study Saturn and its satellites. Namely - the search for answers to the questions: "What threat are the rings of Saturn?" "What does the surface of the planet actually look like?" and, most interestingly, “Is life possible there?”

It pains me that my friends don't find this amazing. How can I explain to them how amazing the cosmos is beyond what they see. Can you believe some think the moon is in earth.

Hey.

The James Webb launch was phenomenal!!!!

Narrator: If humanity dug a mine on Titan, then we would be able to provide the entire Earth with oil for thousands of years.
US: Looks like Titan could use some Freedom.

I know it’s pretty much impossible to have it any other way but it’d but great if we somehow could save space projects like this and showcase them in museums for the generations to come

Im still amazed how the probe can last that long in space without maintenance though but otherwise this was interesting

I never liked learning or studying at school or in general but there’s just something about space that always catches my attention it amazes me how big the universe is knowing there could be other life somewhere out there i love learning and watching videos of documentary about space planets universes black holes etc I’m not a smart guy but I hope one day i really get into it and go out in the woods get a telescope and learn about space

The end of all those space projects is the loneliest and the saddest

Amazing video!! I’d just like to highlight that it may look easy to portray these things; but, years of planning makes things like these possible. I’m an early career researcher and I’ve actually worked on 2 projects to help w addressing some questions regarding the science goals of Dragonfly. In summer 2020, I was working on trying to estimate the potential lifetime of some amino acids (assuming they could’ve formed on Titan where somehow liquid water may be present along w a small organic chemical inventory). The following year, I was working on tracking phase transitions of chemical molecules that might go through dragonfly’s sampling system. Basically, when the samples are collected, they go thru temperature and pressure changes which can cause some molecules in the sample to go from solid to liquid or liquid to gas and I was working on predicting these phase changes. It’s important to know this cuz it affects sample analysis and its measurements. Could prolly go deeper into that but wouldn’t wanna bore you… any other early career researchers here????

Please indicate which one is the real footage of Saturn, very confusing they’re mixed up with the artist pics!

Breh don't give the executives any ideas, we don't need hurricanes like on saturn! lol

It wasn’t a “suicide mission” it “became part of the atmosphere”

This stuff makes me tear up sometimes that we won’t be around when we do get to travel space and reside on other planets like on some star trek stuff I always dreamed of experiencing it but it won’t even be possible for at least another 1000 years

the sad thing is that we won't be able to live long enough to find out the answer. born early miss the future, born too late to see the history.

Big respect to the camera man who travelled all across the solar system for this video!
