The first image of a black hole was photographed by the Event Horizon Telescope back in 2019 at the center of the supergiant elliptical Galaxy Messier 87 aka M87, in the constellation Virgo. Last year, during 2022 wasn't the first time we humans photographed a Black Hole, but it was the first time we photographed the one at the center of our own Milky Way Galaxy, which is still absolutely incredible if you ask me.
