coming from an xs max, the 16e is the best option for me overall (and also for most people who are coming from really old phones), don't care about magsafe, ultra-wide, uwb chip or dynamic island, and i found it for $500, def buying it

Right now, the 14 plus and 16e are about the same (14 plus is $629 in some places if you get specific colors)

With taxes they both come out to be the same price. I’m considering either of these. I waited two years for this phone and I feel under whelmed. lol

Well, if you’re at retirable like me that is done with all the fancy and sophisticated things in life and tend to enjoy more the simple, less complicated things.. then of no doubt this is an iphone of choice for you.

This phone is meant for corporations and organisations that need to provide a company phone to employees and want to keep all of them in the Apple ecosystem for maintenance purposes. This is the cheapest way to do that.

The iPhone 16e is a good phone. However, it isn't a good value. For $200 less than the iPhone 16, you're giving up too much.

Since 2020, MagSafe and ultrawide camera have been absolutely iconic to the iPhone. The 16e sticks out like a sore thumb.

At $599, the iPhone 16e is not a budget phone. For this price, I'd rather get an Android phone that offers much more value.
