I'm keeping my 13 Mini. It's a great small phone. I also don't know why you would want mag safe. To me it's generally useless. I plug in my phone and in a short time it's good to go.

The 16e is definitely a budget phone for Apple. They put in budget parts and designs but they didn't sell it for a budget price.

If you're upgrading from any iPhone SE model to the iPhone 16e, then maybe it's a great phone to buy, and with trading in it'll make it even cheaper! But if you're upgrading from any other iPhone, either wait a bit for now or get any iPhone other than the 16e. There are certified refurbished phones as well as new ones btw.

The problem is that you see the world only from your perspective.
Lot of the arguments in favor of the regular 16 over the 16e are gimmicks. Colors? Who cares, it’s not a car. Buy a cover if you really can’t handle b&w. The photo button?! Gimme a break! I prefer the 16e without these features and slow wireless charging than these « nice to have » features for a slower chip. It’s more future proof for the money.

The 16e is a good option for basic non tech users. It would get the job done. if you have a trade-in and drop the price of any iphone it would be even better.

As you said in previous video new 16e has decreased brightness of display comparing even to basic 16, so this is also affecting battery life I suppose.

They’ve priced the 16e into the same category as S25 which makes the most powerful at the price debatable because it has a marginal win on single core performance and a substantial loss in multi core performance. They’re both so powerful that it doesn’t really matter though. I’m on my 2nd battery in my 2020 SE and I will happily keep carrying it.

Yes the display, camera features, and all the rest makes me have an iPhone 16 Pro Max ! The 16e should have had the dynamic island not having to feel like the odd one in the family !

I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max right now and have used iPhones and Samsung phones off and on for years mostly iPhones but I feel like switching it up for my next phone and plan to get a Samsung Galaxy or Google Pixel phone in a few months
