The Indian govt is bringing home 1.8 million Indians stranded abroad. But overseas citizens of India are not being given seats on special Air India flights. Several OCI card holders reached out to WION to make an appeal. WION's Executive Editor Palki Sharma Upadhyay gets you their story.

Flight seats are limited. And OCI card holders are not even Indian citizens. They are foreign citizens with Indian origins. India needs to take care of its own citizen stranded abroad first.
And OCI card holders primary home is whatever country they are in, not India. "Allow us to come home" is misleading and taking advantage of India's resources. They are losing jobs and want to shelter in India for low cost of living and higher security from covid19.

First wion she is born by Indian origin parent but she has citizenship of America so basically she is American not Indian and second thing is if she miss her family then after regular flight start she come over here in India. If she has some problem then complete to local governor not Indian media.

OCI Card Holders have given up their Indian citizenship in favour of the countries in which they are currently living. They are not Indian Citizens. They shouldn't and won't be the priority now. Priority should be Indian Citizens. These people are being pure selfish!
