What's the vibes gaming on the PS5 Pro?

What's crazy is after a week when you start getting used to the Pro, then you go back and play the base PS5... you REALLY notice it.

At the end of the day, it's crazy how far video gaming has come. I remember back to 1981 when my best bud bought a stupid expensive Intellivision console, with the tethered controllers, $80 game cartridges connected to a 24" CRT console TV. We're talking pixels for graphic's, worse than what we had with the first few gen's of the PS consoles! Man, we played thousands of hours of Dungeons and Dragons, my favorite at that time. And, yes I'm getting old!! 😜🤣

I think it's important to mention that the "short comings" of the PS5 compared to the price point is, completely, the fault of the scalpers and game developers. If the PS5 wasn't so elusive for so long ( at a resale average of $1500 ), game developers would have prioritized what was known as "next-gen" consoles at that time... Games and their developers, TO THIS DAY, include PS4 compatibility for this reason. The stock of the PS5 was there, by the way, the first day alone was at around 5 million units. So the scalping of the console was what made it so hard for developers to prioritize it because they would lose sales of their games since most people didn't have the PS5 at release.

The pandemic allowed a lot of people who were at home to start the resale business and whatnot; reselling limited fashion items, collectibles, and electronics so it gatekept many gamers from buying what would have been next-gen exclusives. You can see the difference in graphics of next-gen console games. You just can't expect developers to make double the amount of ports for old-gen consoles without sacrificing performance (frame rate, refresh, ray-tracing, etc.). It's like making one game for PS4 (limited capability) and one game for PS5 (max performance). That's a lot of money they would lose. And that's why the PS5 Pro is introducing AI upscaling to old-gen games.

The Portal is just a streaming device. Is everyone crazy? The only difference you will see is any Ray tracing For graphical effects outside of resolution. It's streaming an image. A better connection is the only advantage possible.

The cod patch did go through and is in patch notes. 120hz mode has the visuals of the 60hz mode but at steady frame rate. Turn off 120 mode and now it is unlocked frame rate on vrr that runs at 80-100 hz (still really smooth) with the highest quality visuals. Check it out - they just didn't label the changes in menu as ur expecting... they were waiting till season 1 to put out updates as it is for both warzone and bo6 . Gran turismo patch should be out next week.

I got the pro, I’m returning it, in my opinion I don’t see the difference between it and the OG ps5 I’m getting 60 fps stable on most games on my OG PS5 and LG OLED TV but to each his own!

PS5 Pro definitely has a better wifi. I've had the base PS5 in my mancave that is 30 feet away from router the past few years and that has been constantly losing connection using wifi every few hours. I stopped playing multiplayer games because of it and stuck with offline.

With PS5 Pro, I haven't lost wifi connection yet since I hooked it up nov 7. Thinking about starting playing online multi games again because of it.
