look as a OU guy. Calib earned my respect when he stayed with OU to help beat Oregon in the 2021 Alamo bowl after TBOW already left for USC. I don't see him quitting on the Trojons.

Let’s extend the opt out/sit out scenario to the NFL. Players should just sit and not play the rest of the season if they have no chance at the playoffs. Why should say a Patrick Mahomes play half the season if the talent around him is so bad they don’t have a chance. Play 5-6 weeks and sit.

I think Pate is pushing the right message here: this type of foolishness should not be said or suggested by the media, coaches, agents, or executives.

A lot of the commentators saying it are former player that are still upset over their own college careers that didn’t go according to plan and another thing they wouldn’t be known or have had the opportunities without football I know it’s mean and horrible to say but it’s the cold harsh truth

Should Brock Bowers come back for the last game or 2 of the regular season though?

Coming off an injury might be a bit different, better to recover for months than try and jump back into play for a team you're leaving... But of course a Natty is definitely an element of that, just wondering if everyone would say BB should just focus on health/NFL if he had a two loss team

As bad as it looks for USC, unless Caleb Williams can bend the draft to his whim like Elway and Manning could, he’s better off just staying where he is cause he’s so screwed by this lineup of nfl bottom feeders.

Again, I agree with Acho. If a player wants to make a business decision, they can and it doesn't mean they're a bad person or bad player. Until the NFL makes a minor league, college players have to come play for peanuts in college instead of on contract in the minor leagues and you can't fault them for making business decisions in the future, when they start to do it on a larger scale. This IS a business. The end goal isn't college for these guys, it's the pros. College is a stepping stone for them and fans have to understand that. They can end their careers in college on a single bad hit. It's happened. There's nothing foolishness about moving on from a lose-lose situation, IF you want to.

We know Caleb isn't above stabbing a team in the back for personal gain! Neither is his daddy!

And quite honestly I would never take a quarterback from USC they have no history of great quarterbacks being good professional football players in the NFL

Is Caleb Williams getting too comfortable with all those NIL deals!?? 🤔

Acho’s comment was a symptom of the decline in character. Service to others is a higher calling than being a self serving <expletive>.

Now could caleb get hurt? Always. That is what the insurance policy is for.

Caleb Williams is getting paid for doing those Wendy's commercials anyway so he might as well keep

NFL would not have existed without NCAA they idea was so many people are coming to watch their fav team and player or players why stop now. Pro football advanced their careers and fans went to keep watching their fav players. NFL could def help the NCAA, which is basically a farm league for them, by having rules to help college football and the university who invested in them. I sure don't know how maybe you can't enter the draft without a 4 year degree or must play in x amount of games to qualify for the draft. College football gets nothing from the NFL but the NFL gets everything from them. Maybe their is a answer for both but for now it is what it is.

The mindset of “getting the bag“ at all costs and foregoing all of the other experiences life can bring you is a commonly pushed narrative in today’s society, uniquely common in America. Really unfortunate. Money is great, but not at the expense of everything else.

This is what happened to college basketball. Adult media members destroyed it back in the early 2000s and now is wondering why no one cares about college basketball anymore.

Caleb Williams is in a bunch of commercials. He's gotten paid millions in NIL money. In my opinion...quitting can't be an option. His endgame is to play in the NFL and he needs to keep playing to get ready to meet that goal
