The one cause nobody ever discusses is Cisplatin-Induced Ototoxicity caused by chemo treatments. Turned on in 2005 a few days after last treatment of Cisplatin. Has never turned off and has become a little louder over time. High frequency both ears, actually it’s just in my head and I long for the day of experiencing what quiet feels like just one more time. I’ve learned to drown it out with fans, music and other methods. There’s no such thing as sitting quietly and meditating for me. ENT’s have offered no options except these bulky hearing aids.

So, my tinnitus came exactly 2 months after a mild heart attack. I thought it might be related to the medications. After stopping some of the medications and changing the brands and doses I believe it is more linked to "blood flow" increased from (3) stints and being a high anxiety person.
