Do you do this charging the clicker for the whole meal? Or you do it and then have a jackpot after that like the other commands with Spig?

Hi! We are first time dog owners and have a 11 week old Korthal Griffon. We love your videos, and decided to persue clicker training. We have been trying to charge it for over a week now - however he isn't understanding it and isnt focused during sessions. Do you have any advice on how to engage him more/ how to make him understand that the clicker is a marker?

Kat I have a question in regards to what your normal training sessions look like. Obviously you work on one command at a time while you are clicker training and teaching the puppy the behavior and marking it and learning the command. My question is when do you move on to another command or are you working on a couple of basic commands at the same time? And say the pup knows the come and you are currently teaching the kennel/place training command. Would you work on just the kennel command in one training session until the pup knows the behavior and responds to a vocal command or would you be working on the come command as well in the same training session? And finally after the puppy knows the basic commands you want to teach, while they're young before you get further into more formal training, would you only work on one command per session and then work on another later in the day or would you practice all of them with the pup in one session a couple times a day in short duration? I'll be bringing my Brittany pup home in a couple weeks and I just don't want to confuse her with multiple commands but I hear of a lot of people working on all the commands in the same session. I'd rather hear a professionals opinion than listen to people on forums that have only trained one or two dogs.

Thank You,
Jacob Lang

I was trained that once a k9/mammal learns the clicker, it is only used to mark a behavior at a “distance” when a reward can not immediately be given. How is she to know what you want without a predatory command? This seems to be more confusing to her. You should try approximation. So as her haunch goes down click and reward, finally achieving sit position.

I have a 10 month old Vizsla. Will clicker training work with him, or his too old now? Thanks so much ! Love all your training videos, I just wish I would have found them sooner !

I have a question, on clicker training for my cat. Do I only click once every time he has good behavior? I have been clicking a couple times every single time he does a good behavior, is this too much? Never done clicker training before
