This intro is a cinematic work of art. It's only 2 and a half minute long, but it sets the tone of the film so well. You get introduced to all the main character so quickly yet they are distinguishable, the music is so up beat and pumps up the viewers and then fades into the quietness setting the tone for the rest of the film, and the entire set is so visually mesmerizing you can't help but to want to get up and dance and feel like you are immersed in the atmosphere. The intro pacts so much information into such a small amount of time, which could have easily gone wrong but it works so well.

i remember when i first saw this, it was really late and me and my friend were both bored so we decided to see a random movie and picked the greatest showman, i had zero expectations going in and had literally no idea what this was even about (i mightve seen one commercial maybe) and was ready for a bad/cheesy thing to laugh at with my friend like we do but holy shit. when the first "woahooOOooh" came i was blown away. something about this opening number made it feel like you were surrounded by the music and it was so magical. it might be one of the strongest openings to a movie i've ever experienced. this 100% needs to be seen in theaters, its amazing, i hope it becomes one of those movies theaters put on annually as a tradition so everyone can experience it
