HOW TO START YOUR BMW AFTER AIRBAGS DEPLOY Temporary Fix

PLEASE READ! This was done on a Totaled car that is never going to be fixed or put back on the road. This was done to this car to move it from a driveway to a Tow Truck. If your airbags deployed that means that you got into an accident, your car probably has some mechanical/ electrical damage after the accident. Turning on a car that has Mechanical ( Leaking antifreeze) or electrical damage may FURTHER damage your engine or the electrical in your car. IF YOU PLAN TO FIX AND KEEP YOUR CAR ON THE ROAD DON'T TRY THIS! HAVE IT TOWED AND FIXED BY A PROFESSIONAL.
This was done on my BMW other cars may be different.

This is a temporary fix so you start your car after the airbags have deployed.
When the airbags deploys the battery has a safety feature a small charge detonates separates the two metal pieces shown in the video.

Hi Issac, thanks for the info. I have a 2015 X6 and my airbags deployed when I crashed into the highway concrete barrier. Haven't been able to fix it because BMW would charge me way too much. (No full cover) any suggestions on where or how I can bypass the computer. Car won't start and nobody wanna mess with my car. Everybody tells me to take it to the dealer ..

Why is a temporary fix? If my car just hit lightly another, airbag deployed but there’s no additional damage, it just doesn’t start now. Can this fix my issue without me thinking it will send the code again. I bought the airbag already in place now I just need to start the car . Can this fix it?

Hello, i had an accident with my 2020 bmw 520i and the airbags deployed, almost all of them except for the seats airbags didn’t deploy, and there is no electricity reaching the car what so ever even when I tried to jump start the car there was no power inside the car at all, and im not able to open the trunk to reach the the cable that you are talking about and tried to find a key slot in the trunk but there’s no key slot for the trunk, any idea how can i open the trunk in my situation?

Hi, I had an accident recently and I have this exact problem, and the only thing highly affected is my front left light ... if I replace the positive cable would it start and be safe to drive to the dealer? The dealer is 15 miles away.
